PolypDx™ for Patients.

Dr. Haili Wang, colorectal surgeon at the University of Alberta Hospital and Co-Founder of Metabolomic Technologies Inc. speaks to the advantages of PolypDx™, the first and only urine screen for detecting pre-cancerous polyps for Colorectal Cancer.

Ever wonder how great it would be to have an easy-to-use test for Colorectal Cancer screening?

Stop wondering.

How does it work?

PolypDx™ is a urine-based screening test. Only a small amount of urine is required. The test detects a distinct metabolomic fingerprint specific to precancerous, adenomatous polyps.

STEP ONE:

DOCTOR PRESCRIBES POLPDX™ TEST KIT.

STEP TWO:

TEST KIT IS SHIPPED DIRECTLY TO YOUR DOOR.

STEP THREE:

COLLECT URINE SAMPLE AND RETURN TEST KIT.

STEP FOUR:

TEST RESULTS ARE RETURNED TO DOCTOR.

STEP FIVE:

IF RESULTS ARE POSITIVE, A COLONOSCOPY IS RECOMMENDED.

Interpreting the results.

Once screened, patients with a positive result and presenting a risk of adenomatous polyps can be directed to a colonoscopy during which the adenomatous polyps can be removed, thus preventing the progression into Colorectal Cancer. Those patients with negative results can continue with regular repeated screening with PolypDx™, and give themselves peace of mind.
